Yes, there is a progress.
At first we are preparing minor patches.
At next stage we will try to perform bigger changes and updages (in e.p. for shaders etc.)
Everybody are welcome to join.

Well, I would join but I don't yet know enough about either opengl or lua to be of any real help. Or C for that matter, I mostly use FreeBasic.
As a bit of a challenge to myslef however, I've just started an attempt to translate the source code into FB
